Amanda has been making ceramics since 2003 and she continues to do it today as a hobby.
Recently she did a two month assistantship in Italy at La Meridiana. While there she was preping the studio for classes, cleaning, and sitting in on classes, learning new techniques and making ceramics.

The vase was thrown Porcelain, barnished, with a light bulb and then the design was drawn by hand, waxed and then each shape was painted individually. the piece was fired in a gas kiln, removed and put in sawdust to cool. This is the end result.
