DISTRESSING
Amanda was interested in Distressing while at Cornell College. When given the opprotunity to design a show like Waiting for Godot, with the concept that the show was going to have a vaudvillian style and the characters trapped in the bubble. She knew she wanted the colors to be basic and for the clothing to be worn. The idea was that these characters have been there for years, wearing and performing in the same clothes. This show was just the tip of the iceberg for her and to study where and how clothing wears down.
